In case you haven’t noticed, I love dark chocolate and cranberry together. I was searching through recipes and was just about to pound out some scones…and then my mind wandered to the dark chocolate that is in my freezer and I decided that I needed to make biscotti.
Well, now I’m sick to my stomach. No! Don’t get me wrong, these are delish…but here’s what happened:
So I mix the dough and its greasy (is the word “buttery” more appealing?) and beautiful. I form the two logs and bake them for a half hour. I pull them out of the oven and let them cool a little. I cut them on a diagonal and line up the cookies to bake again…and left behind was the ends of the logs that didn’t get put on the tray to re-bake because they were funky in shape. So, I stuffed my face. I don’t even want to think about how much cookie I ate. SO much. By the time I pulled out the finished biscotti from the oven, I didn’t even want to think about eating a finished one. Maybe tomorrow morning with my morning coffee, I’ll decide to try again.
