Sourdough bread, loaf two! I think I’m finding my groove when it comes to bread making. For my second loaf of sourdough bread I used a recipe I found a long time ago on a pretty non-descript website on Amish sourdough bread. I proofed Miss Mango the night before and then the next morning I mixed in the sugar, salt, and flour. After rising twice (only 1 hour per rise!), I baked up my second loaf!
(I haven’t been using bread loaf pans and it results in these awesome large round loafs!)
I loved this recipe and will definitely be using it again. It lets the tangy flavor of the starter really stand out and it didn’t take nearly as long as the first recipe took. I think I’m ready to try pizza dough soon! I’m pretty excited about never having to buy a sourdough loaf again.
Plus! Check out the beautiful bunch of Iris flowers I cut from my parents’ front yard. They have such a deep purple color that I just had to bring inside. Plus, they remind me of the farmers’ market trips Jessi and I would take on Saturday mornings, because I would always buy one Iris to put in the wine bottle vase on my bedside table.
