I haven’t had time to bake in a few weeks now because I’ve been totally consumed by employment. I spend my Tuesdays through Saturdays at Briar Rose, and my Sundays and Mondays trying to catch up at home (chores, cooking meals, family functions, etc). Well, I guess this is how it feels to be working again.
I’m really excited about all the new things that have been happening lately. I have been able to witness the running of a real bakery and deli and be part of management. Also, I have added a new member to my family…sort of…at least, I have added another something to my kitchen table! I have a new sourdough starter! It has yet to be named because I don’t want to jinx it before the first loaves are baked, but suggestions for names would be much appreciated!
I’ll be edging back into baking on Monday because I have a gift planned for my lovely mister…it will be our anniversary! So, I have to bestow the gift of warm-baked love upon him. Tah-dahhhh.
