And the snacking continues…
As someone who has been experimenting with baking that excludes a lot of allergens, It’s hard for me to purchase a store-bought baked good and be impressed. I also happen to work in a bakery that has seemed to master gluten free cookies that taste even better than “ordinary” cookies. So, when I got the opportunity to try these allergen-free cookies from Enjoy Life, I jumped at the opportunity and kept a skeptical eye. Surprisingly, I was impressed (and trust me, I’ve tried many “healthy” cookies and spit out almost all of them)! With a portion size being 2 cookies at 110 calories, I found myself eating 1/2 of each of the 4 flavors to just have one portion, and to try them all. I could hardly believe it, but I found myself eating more and more of these over the next few days (I almost always just give away snack foods because I never want more than a few bites)! I even offered them to people at work so they could try a store-bought version of gluten-free cookies, and they were impressed too! My favorites were the chocolate chip and sugar crisp (which is so weird for me because normally my favorite cookies would be the grahams or chocolate)!
Snack on this, they even taste yummy smeared with a bit of Artisana Cacao Bliss or nut butter, or if you’re watching calories, Better’n Peanut Butter! I actually love these cookies smeared with anything or even crumbled on ice cream.
Strike up a conversation: Are you gonna make any healthy swaps this Thanksgiving? I bet some healthier cookies crumbled and used to make your pie or cheesecake crust this holiday season will help!
