I’ve been sitting out by the pool on my days off. I can’t believe it’s been almost 90 degrees here and that I’m inside and done before noon! When I was done sweating and trying to read my book, I was more than eager to get into my kitchen and whip up a Super Skinny Strawberry Milkshake! After I tried this shake for the first time, I not only texted everyone to tell them how excited I was, but I called my mother and told her that I’d struck gold! Yes, I get that excited over a “milk” shake. I know you’ll be just as excited after you drink yours too.
Super Skinny Strawberry Milkshake
Oh…should I mention that my “milk” shake clocks in around 65 calories? Have your blender already whipping up this recipe? Thought so.
¼ cup + 2 Tbs. unsweetened almond milk, frozen (3 cubes)*
¾ cup unsweetened almond milk
4 medium strawberries, frozen**
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1Tbs. Splenda (or Stevia)
*For tips on how I freeze my almond milk (so you’ll understand the cubes), please read this post
**I core and freeze my strawberries before they go over-the-hill, but bagged frozen strawberries work just as well! Using frozen strawberries allows you to use less frozen almond milk than my other “milk” shakes!
~In a blender (or a Bullet!), blend all of the ingredients until smooth. Pour into a tall glass and enjoy!
Strike up a conversation: What is your favorite flavor of milkshake? Since strawberry ice cream is one of my favorites, the milkshake version falls not far behind!

What’s up? The blog on freezing almond milk indicates “6” ice cubes per serving while the printed recipe indicates “3” per serving. Not sure which to follow but they both sound really good and not bad for calorie count – Super Skinny Strawberry Milkshake.

Hi Linda! Follow the recipe from this recipe for the strawberry milkshake. The link to the other is just to show you HOW I froze mine, not to have you follow that recipe (unless of course you’d like to make that flavor too!).
Have a great day!
