I ran again!
It’s crazy! I guess you could say I’ve been getting into running again (don’t jinx it!). I’m just so excited because I feel like I can start signing up for 5K’s around town!
Run, Melissa, run!
In fact, I’m signing up to run a 5K for St. Jude this Sunday! Wish me luck!
The Week’s Treats:
Snickerdoodle Pancakes with Snickerdoodle Yogurt:
The Sweaty Breakdown:
Saturday: 25 min stationary bike; leg strength training until my legs turned to jelly; 10 min elliptical run
Sunday:
I ran 4 miles today! I’m so proud! I had no intention of going that far, but just like last week…I just started running and didn’t stop!
Monday:

Sometimes you just need something very simple and comforting for breakfast! I loved that Coach’s Oats are quick-cooking steel cut oats! Topped with banana and walnuts.
Rest day!
Tuesday:
I took my nanny kids on a walk in the stroller – I pushed two 2-yr-olds for 3.5 miles, as briskly as I could! After I got home that evening, I also took my dog on a 30 min walk!
Wednesday:
I did intermittent ab work all day. I knew that I didn’t have the time to do one long workout, so throughout the day, I would stop and do sets of crunches, leg raises, elevated leg crunches, squat and twists, and bridges.
Although it doesn’t feel like you “worked out” that day, if you just stop and do some work whenever you get a chance, your workout is automatically done by the end of the day!
Thursday:

I topped 2% Fage plain Greek yogurt with Trader Joe’s Fig Butter (OMG die), no-sugar strawberry jam, honey, and chopped Blue Diamond coconut almonds!
I ran some sprints in the evening! I followed my intervals with some arm strength training.
How was your week? What was your favorite eat, treat, or workout from the week?
OMG! THERE IS A NEW EXTRA DESSERT GUM?!?!?!?!
Must find it.
Now.
[Everything else is fabulous, too…but I am no longer able to focus.]
Run! Target! NOW!
Glad you enjoyed the run–4 miles is quite a workout!
And, yes, you must have a good man if he understands when a froyo craving must be met. 🙂
That froyo looks amazing! As does the chocolate bundt. Whenever I hear of bundt cake I always think of the movie ‘My Big Fat Greek Wedding’
Me too!! That’s exactly what comes to mind!
You’ve got the coconut almonds!?! How are they? Worth it?
I totally agree with you on the non-workout workout…I have done the same thing at night while working my shift…it’s amazing how a few minutes here and there can really add up in the end! Plus, sometimes a quick power walk around the department is the ONLY thing that will keep me awake! No sleeping on the job ya know! 😉
PS, your dog looks like a dust mop! Seriously? Get that girl a trim! Lol
Haha I know! Poor pup!
Ummmmmm….YES!! GET THE ALMONDS! I buy a new can almost every time I see them! I’m stocking up for the next big storm or something 😉
