As you found out on Friday, I was in Denver, CO for the week. I traveled around with my mom and grandparents, eating, chatting, and just enjoying our time together. Although there were many reasons we were visiting, one of the main reasons was for my Bridal Shower!! Here are a few photos of the decor from the day so you can pretend you were there too.
When I walked in, I was shocked at how beautiful the table was! The flowers, hair-wreaths, napkins, and table cloth blended my Fall wedding colors (ivory, oatmeal, and fall orange) with the beautiful colors of Summer (and my favorite color, pink!). Guess which chair was mine!
On a downstairs table, there were clothespins for a game (everyone wears a pin, if you say the groom’s name, your pin gets taken away by the person who made you say it, whoever has the most pins at the end of the day wins) and envelopes to fill out for the door prizes and for thank you notes later.
There was a phenomenal dessert and drinks table set up! Orange juice and champagne for mimosas, peach tea (unsweetened! hoorah!), adorable stir sticks and straws, a big chocolate chocolate chunk bundt cake and mini bundt cakes (white chocolate, pralines and cream, lemon raspberry, and strawberry!). The cake was probably the best chocolate cake I had had in a LONG time! Amazing!
The presents were stacked in my grandmother’s trunk, lined with the quilt she hand-sewed for me for my wedding gift (she started it when I was around 12 years old, and always said she’d give it to me for a wedding present, and today was the day she finally could gift it to me. It was a very special moment.). As people arrived, the presents definitely stacked up!
My bridesmaid’s mom made all the food, and it was out-of-this-world! Crustless quiches (one regular, one Mexican with green chiles), fruit kabobs, shrimp cocktail, baked French toast (with a caramel bottom and orange zest), ham, and pasta salad (not pictured)!
I was so happy to share this moment with my mamma. Couldn’t have been more special.
And, without this girly right here, none of this would’ve happened. My beautiful, dear friend, whom I’ve known all my life. I couldn’t have had a better bridal shower, and with her hard work and love, it all came together. She worked with my grandmother for months to pull all of this together, and it was the prettiest party I’ve ever been a part of, and I can’t believe it was all for me! It was a perfect day.
Can we do it again, please?
I posted pictures of the rest of my trip on Instagram as it happened, if you missed it!
