Please tell me you dressed up for Halloween! Because…
I didn’t.
Instead of being festive and cool, I swiped on a new layer of nail polish then sat around wearing all black and eating cottage cheese like an old lady. Ok, I didn’t sit around ALL day.
Newest obsession? Essie nail polish in Wicked. The perfect deep red that almost looks black. Love.
I keep having those days lately where I’m absolutely starving. I must eat ALL the foods! Why?! Why?! Oh, well maybe if I remember to eat more than a salad while I’m running around at work and baking and taking care of the dogs…then I wouldn’t be so crazy hungry. Huh. What a concept.
Funny story. So I was at Spin class, and my killer-fit, amazingly beautiful Spin instructor asked me about my heart rate monitor. I’d worn it because she’d asked me to and wanted to check the calorie burn at the end of the class. She asked to see the monitor band, which goes across your ribs…so I lift up my shirt for her to see it and pray that I’m not flashing the rest of the class.
Yup, I’m standing there with my shirt up in class. And I’m definitely not one of those women that can walk around with just a sports bra on, because I’m just not genetically blessed in the gut area. Great. Now lets get to that workout please…and make it a good one. Sheesh.
Anyways! I have a plan in my head to make a different breakfast everyday during the month of November. My friend, Meg, is doing an organized challenge. I’m a total party pooper and won’t do the challenge, but I’ll certainly try to do it on my own. No two day’s oats can be the same. Time to find some new noms. Yay!
Here are the amazing salty-sweet treats I made for you this week:
Happy November! We’ll be roasting turkeys before we know it!

Mmmm, turrrrrrrrkeeeeeeeeey! Gah, Thanksgiving is my favorite! Just do me a favor and be on text stand by in case I have a mental breakdown (I seriously just typed breakfast…wtf?)! Good news is my dad doesn’t have ANY say so in the menu…besides his can of congealed cranberries! Ha!
I’m impressed with your spinning abilities. I just can’t do it…I get a cramp in my hip flexor every time and end up looking like some kind of wounded antelope. Yeah…on a bicycle…wrap your head around THAT!
