Make up make up!! Yay! Beauty-aholics unite!
[Do we get matching rings? I hope so!]
So, I’ve been restocking my nail polish supply ever since I got rid of every single bottle I owned. And it’s pretty fun because every season starts with new colors. This season, I’m totally into the pastels. Which is crazy because I always loved jewel tones, only had hot pink nails, and couldn’t stand lilac anything…
Totally different story now.
Can we talk about these shades?! They’re gorgeous. I’m loving the Deborah Lippmann polishes. They’re vibrant and smooth and I can’t get enough. They’re pretty darn pricey, though, so for an alternative 5-Free polish, I grab Zoya too. Pretty mint shade, right?
All things lilac this season. That is all. [DL shades: She Bop, Lilac Wine]
I grabbed the new Dior Gel Top Coat because I was told it’s supposed to be like getting a gel mani but without the UV light. Well, it’s a great topcoat, but I’m not getting my manis to last past 4-5 days without chipping, so gel-like it is not. It was a nice try, for a 5-Free version. Has anybody else tried this one? Have any tips to make it last longer?
Next, I cut my hair! Can you believe that?! Well, I’m told that it’s still “really long” but for me, its 6-8 inches short of what I considered long. But now I can actually “do” my hair.
I love the Kenra smoothing cream. It smells so dreamy, a little goes a long way, and it makes my hair crazy shiny. My hair actually looks more golden when I use it, and then hot hair tools. My husband thought I’d colored my hair!
The Blow Pro Texture Spray is pretty cool stuff! I feel like I can spray it in my roots, scrunch my hair a bit, and get the messy wavy au’naturale look but be a bit more polished. Or so I think. I probably look like I just rolled out of bed, but I love it. I’m delusional.
BRONZER. Hello sunshine! Yay.. This Too Faced bronzer is IT. Done. It smells like CHOCOLATE and adds the perfect contouring depth and warmth to my face. Please, don’t be afraid of the darker shade. I am pretty pale, especially right now, but I get very olive-tan during the summer. Even right now, I’m wearing the darker shade. It’s supposed to be used to contour, so if you choose a shade that’s too light, you won’t get the results you were hoping for.
The light shade is perfect for you alabaster ladies, but otherwise, please go with the darker shade, Google some YouTube videos on makeup contouring, and practice! The worst that could happen is you don’t like your results, you blend them in a bit with your brush, and they’re solved. Don’t be afraid.
And that’s it for today!

That Too Faced bronzer sounds fab – you had me at ‘it smells like chocolate’ lol. I live in Melbourne so it’s Autumn here but one of my Spring beauty must haves is the St Tropez self tanning mousse. It’s a great way to get a bit of color before Summer.

Ohhh, I might have to look into that texture spray…I’m in the market for a new curl/wave intensifier. Every time I’ve gone to the store lately, I pick up a different brand, but so far, no real winners.
And can I just say that I LOVE that picture of you?!? You are just glowing! <- And I don't just mean that because the sun in shining on you! 😉
