Lavender Lemonade is an easy blender lemonade recipe that will have you sipping thick, tart, summery lemonade in no time. Lavender adds a floral flavor note that you can’t put your finger on, but you can’t get enough of!
I hope everyone had a lovely Mother’s Day.
I honestly spent mine in “day after a wedding” mode… i.e. dead exhausted from not sleeping because I ate cake icing for dinner and drank a few too many glasses of wine, woke up and worked out because I thought I was awesome sauce, then slowly realized I wasn’t that great as the day went on and I felt worse and worse. Yup, that’s how it goes.
Good thing my husband knows where Panera is because there was no way I was making dinner after a day driving back home and feeling like that.
Anyways, I have another super simple recipe for ya, because these hot months are already having me thinking it’s summer.
Lavender Lemonade!
Annnnnddddd I didn’t squeeze a single lemon! Win!
I quickly peeled the lemons, cutting the peel off as best I could with a sharp knife. Then threw them in my blender, wizzed them up, then added my Lavender Syrup, and water and wizzed again. Done.
What you end up with is super thick, tart, intense lemonade with a hint of lavender flavor. If you like sweeter lemonade, add 1/4 cup of sugar to the blender too. I like tart, thick lemonade because I can sip on a tall, iced glass for hours (versus thin, watery lemonade that I can chug and forget I even drank it). You can probably even add extra water if you’d like, making this quite a large batch of Lavender Lemonade. There will be plenty for the week and plenty to share.
Bring on that summer heat!
- 6 lemons
- 5-6 cups water
- 1/2 cup + 2 Tbs. Lavender Syrup*
- (optional: 1/4 cup sugar or 2 Tbs Stevia)
- Peel the lemons with a sharp knife, trying to remove the skin and most of the pith.
- Blend all of the lemons in a blender until smooth ( I use a Vitamix but you can use any blender, just make sure you blend on a high speed until smooth). Next, add the syrup and water and blend together.
- Taste test the lemonade and add more sugar if you'd like it.
- Pour into a pitcher, refrigerate. Pour a glass of Lavender Lemonade over ice and enjoy!

I am seriously having a bit of a love affair with lavender lately…I just finished up my SECOND batch of homemade kombucha yesterday (I’m a kombucha-making machine!) and half of them ended up being lavender! If I had thought to nab up some lemons at the store the other day, I totally would’ve had lavender lemon as the idea has been popping in and out of my head lately. I really should start writing things down…in that book that I keep for writing things down…now where DID I put that thing??
Thick and slushy is a MUST for lemonade-y things! Have you ever had one of Sonic’s real fruit slushes? Their lemon one is amazing!
PS, I think I know how you could get me to eat a lemon-flavored dessert. Put some lavender in it! Yup, just be sure to give me a little shout out when THAT beauty pops up on the blog! 😉
