It’s time for another Fabulously Fit Friday! Let’s talk about twitching muslces (ew), getting a cold and that looming Valentine’s Day.
Hey! Hope you had a fabulous Superbowl Weekend last weekend! I did!
I wasn’t a big fan of either team, but I won the bet I placed with my dad so that’s all that matters! Hooray!
So I can’t believe I’m in Week 6 of the Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guide (BBG). In case you missed it, I’ll fill you in quickly. BBG is a 12 week guide, set up: Mon, Wed, Fri is a fast-paced resistance exercise that takes 30 minutes, then Tue, Thurs, and Sat are “LISS” which is basically walking for 30-45 minutes. Plus lots of stretching. I add in yoga and the occasional Spin class because I’m dedicated to them. There are some incredibly inspiring women all over Instagram doing her workouts, so you should check it out! I tend to post pictures of BBG on my other Instagram account, tiu_treatswithatwist.
Ok, now that’s out of the way, I’m in Week 6! Any big changes? Well, no. Actually I’ve been trying really hard not to get down on myself because I’m working very hard and I’m noticing some strength changes, but no physical changes. Except…I have this super creepy twitch in my abs. Like, twitchy muscle that’s driving me crazy. I usually get this in my legs, but in my abs? So bizarre.
And now I think I’m getting a cold! Eek!!
Next weekend is Valentine’s Day! Can you believe it? I know that the Tone It Up: Love Your Body Challenge was geared towards building your self confidence so you’ll be glowing by V Day. Did anybody participate? Or perhaps just read all of the blog posts and watch the YouTube videos (like I did)? Tell me tell me!!
