I’m so excited to share my Summer Beauty Favorites with you!! It’s been SO long since we’ve talked about makeup and body stuffs and I can’t wait to show you what I’ve been using (a lot of it is all-natural).
Eek! Look at all of this good stuff! I’ll start by saying, I’m still using the Urban Decay Naked 1 palette almost every day, and I’ve been keeping things pretty neutral. I love a pop of color though, so I’m bringing back my favorite Marc Jacobs lipstick.
Body stuffs!
Method body cleansing wash in Olive Leaf – I picked up this body wash from Target. I totally love the light scent and the bottle lasts forever!
The Spiral Collective Pregnancy Balm – my brilliant friend Kait makes the most amazing all-natural body and bath stuffs. She sent me this Pregnancy Balm and I can’t get enough of it! It is so smooth and soaks right into the skin. I use it in the evenings and sometimes in the mornings too, and I’m pretty sure I’d use it even if I weren’t pregnant! It makes my skin SO soft. I’m pretty sure this will be my magic ticket to no stretch marks (besides the ones I already have from a rough adolescence).
Bite Agave Lip Mask (clear) – I mentioned this stuff last time, but I feel completely dependent on it now. It completely transforms my lips into smooth, supple goodness when I apply a bit before I go to bed. I also apply it in the morning if I’m not wearing lipstick that day. I have the worst dry lips and I swear this stuff works miracles. Plus, it’s made out of food-grade ingredients, so no worries.
Philosophy Renewed Hope in a Jar – I received this from Tieks in a gift basket, and I’ve been using it day and night! I didn’t have a single reaction to it, which is great, and it soaks in pretty quickly. I feel like my face stays moisturized and vibrant all day without looking slick or oily. I love this stuff!
Now, makeup!
I’m still using the Tarte Amazonian Clay blush and the chocolate-scented bronzer from Too Faced that I’ve been using for months and months. I love them! And they really create a subtle, neutral palate. I also use the NARS contour blush duo everyday too. And this Marc Jacobs lipstick is one I bought last summer and loved. It stays on forever and is so vibrant (just make sure you exfoliate your lips beforehand and add a touch of moisture to them after you apply the lipstick).
Anastasia Brow Gel – I received this brow gel in an amazing package from Tieks, and I’ve used it everyday since. I have long bushy eyebrows and am one of those “only pluck the strays” people, so a brow gel was exactly what I needed. It allows me to comb my brows into place, set them, and trust that they look great all day. Plus, it doesn’t dry shiny or obvious.
I realized I haven’t whitened my teeth in years and it was about darn time. I grabbed a box of white strips last time I was at Target and hopefully I look like a movie star by next week. I’m getting my hair colored again in a couple weeks, so I feel like I’m washing the slob away (at least temporarily).
Barr Co. perfume in “original” scent – I’m not a huge perfumer person (I’m super picky and my hubs tends to sneeze if I wear something too strong), but I swear I’d bathe in this stuff. It smells like pure summertime: warm coconut, sweet milk. If that makes any sense. I picked up the sample size at a local little store in St. Louis where the scent master herself lives, after smelling everything in the shop (and wanting to buy it all). I added a candle from the shop to my birthday list and I’ll probably order the bigger size of this perfume once it’s gone.
Schmidt’s natural deodorant – I’ve been using natural deodorants for a couple years now, and I’ll be honest, they all pretty much suck. I found this one in my local yoga studio, but I’ve seen it on Amazon, and I love it! The scent doesn’t haunt me throughout the day, I can’t smell myself (yuck) and I just reapply a bit before hitting the gym, just in case.
And that’s it! It’s really a simple, mostly natural, group of pretties! I’ve really been wanting to try the Urban Decay Smokey palette but the reviews are so mixed on the pigmentation! Do you have it?? What do you think? Also, I’ve been seeing a lot of lip laquers that look amazing too. AND I really want to try an epilator. Have you tried one?! They sound scary and amazing at the same time and may just be my savior from shaving. Thoughts?
Note: this is not a sponsored post. No companies have paid me to talk about their products. I’m just a beauty junky with a need to tell you all about it! Amazon links are affiliate links.
