My Pineapple Mango Zinger Smoothie is the perfect way to start a summer day! It’s packed with flavorful pineapple and mango and gets a special kick from fresh ginger! Blend it up, it’s time to enjoy that summer sunshine.
How was your Memorial Day weekend? Was it refreshing or just too crazy to take a breather?
Mine was a bit of both.
But, it was really great to see Canaan interacting with all of the loving people in our lives. It was so fun to get him into a pool for the first time and see him splash and light up. It was nice to get fresh air, see some old friends and even go to a wedding!
But, now that we are back home, I’m ready to get back into my routine and pump myself full of vitamins to recover!
I’ve become a smoothie addict again lately as the heat has gotten worse. And this Pineapple Mango Zinger one is so dang good!
The pineapple and mango give you a one-two punch of vitamin C and a refreshing summery flavor. I added a bit of fresh ginger, which gives it a slight zing and also aids in digestion. Yes please.
I love that this smoothie is refreshing but also interesting. It isn’t your typical pineapple smoothie because it isn’t just a “pina colada” kind of drink. It is the perfect way to jump into these warm summer months!
You can always add a tablespoon or two of oats to make it even heartier for breakfast or top it off with coconut flakes or granola and serve it in a bowl! And you can add a scoop of vanilla protein if you are drinking it after a workout. But of course, I think the smoothie is perfection just as it is.
For smoothies, I don’t mean to be a snob, but I really think it’s important to have a high-powered blender. You don’t have to spend a ton, but you usually get what you pay for where blenders are concerned. I have a Vitamix, Blendtec, and a KitchenAid Torrent and I can say that you will love any of those if you choose them. I love having a perfectly smooth drink without adding tons of ice so you get all of your flavor from the fruit. On that note, don’t forget to use frozen fruit so you don’t need ice. But I digress. Go with a great blender, ok? Now, go blend!
- 1 cup frozen mango chunks
- ½ cup frozen pineapple chunks
- ½ “ fresh ginger, peeled
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- ½ frozen banana
- Put all of the ingredients into a Vitamix (or another high powered blender) and blend until smooth! Drink up!
- I topped mine with a bit of unsweetened coconut!

I so agree, a high powered blender is a must for perfectly smooth smoothies – and as far as those go, why this is simply stunning! So thick and ceramy and gosh darn – I think I won’t be satisfied till I had at least 2 of these under my belt!
