I can’t believe February is here and gone already, but I also can’t wait to share with you my February Favorites! These are the things I’ve been obsessed with since the beginning of the year and I think you’ll feel the same. Almost all the links are shopable, everything is something I’ve genuinely bought and recommended to a friend or family member.
Peloton (app) – In November I bought myself a spin bike and signed up for the Peloton app (the only way I can actually afford to do a Peloton ride) and it was the BEST decision ever. I wake up several mornings a week just to ride and do a class and I love it. The rides are fun, I don’t have to pick the playlist (so I’m less likely to quit early) and I feel like I’m going to a spin class without actually leaving my house!
My favorite instructors are: Cody Rigsby, Jess King, Ally Love and Robin! Are you on it? Who do you ride to??
52 Lists for Happiness – I LOVE a beautiful book notebook but have a hard time writing in them, because for some reason I don’t want to mess it up. But with the 52 Lists book, its actually a fun and easy activity. I’ll do 2 or 3 Lists in one sitting and realize that I am SO much happier when I’m done because I’ve just finished something AND it’s focused on what actually makes you happy. I think if you’re in a hole or need some inspiration, get this and put pen to paper.
Word of the Year (and therapeutic posts on IG) – I’m still trying to focus on my word for this year whenever I get overwhelmed. Check it out in this post. I’ve also been really inspired lately to share more “therapeutic” captions on Instagram, straight from my real life. I thinkkkkkk you’ve been loving them too.
LuluLemon Wunder Under BR leggings – I resisted buying a pair of Wunder Unders for YEARS because clearly they’re expensive. But I swear, these are my favorite pair of leggings ever. I bought all new workout leggings from several luxury brands this year just to give myself new motivation (and because my leggings legit had holes everywhere). Every time I wear these someone tells me how great I’m looking. I’ll take ten more pairs please. Plus, they’re crazy soft and hug me just right. I highly recommend trying them on IN STORE and having a sales person help you with fit, because they recommended a size to me I would’ve never thought to try in there, and they are perfect.
BIG water bottles from Corkcicle & Swell (24/5 oz = easy to keep track of water intake) – If your goal is to drink more water, do it in a way that motivates you. I carry a BIG water bottle or cup almost everyday because it makes it easy on me: ie my water bottle holds 24oz, my goal is 100, fill it just 4 times plus all my coffee drinks and LaCroix = goal crushed.
Beauty – I’m still obsessed with EVERYTHING I wrote about in this beauty and skincare post! Read it, buy it all. Just a subtle suggestion.
Saje oil diffuser / humidifier – I received this Diffuser as a gift. I’ve never really been into oils so I didn’t own a diffuser and didn’t think I needed one. But this one is SO pretty (we have the gold marble one) and I use it as a humidifier in Easton’s room at night. Sometimes I add a few drops of lavender oil to it, but otherwise I just use pure water and I love that it has been keeping his skin moisturized and healthy in these awful heater months. I really want to move it to my desk because it’s so pretty, but I also don’t want to take it from E’s room. Torn!
Netflix Obsessions:
Schitt’s Creek
The World’s Most Extraordinary Homes
Chef’s Table
I seriously can’t say enough good things about these shows. First off, Schitt’s Creek is one I DIED over from December to February. After I watched them all, I was legit sad I didn’t have more episodes. Each family member has their own crazy wonderful accent, cadence and tendencies while talking that it makes it impossible to look away! You NEED to watch this show. You’ll pee yourself laughing.
The World’s Most Extraordinary Homes is AHmazing. I’m pretty sure I’m destined to live in a home carved into the side of a mountain or in a cliff overlooking blue waters. What I love about this show is it’s not about blingy Hollywood mansions AT ALL. It’s about beautiful homes that embrace the landscape they are built on. Breathtaking.
And I’m on a real Chef’s Table tear right now. I find the minds of true artistic chefs to be wonderful.
Ottolenghi Simple Cookbook – I received this cookbook for Christmas and it rounded out my Ottolenghi collection. I love that every recipe is super simple (as opposed to his previous books) and it’s really been helping me choose new dinners when I’m in a rut.
Houseplants – So I got a bit out of control over the past two months and I went from having zero houseplants to SEVENTEEN. What?? They’re all still alive, except my spider plant is only holding on by a thread. Who would’ve thunk it, that the spider plant would be the first to jump ship?
Power Collagen Lattes in the mornings – Every morning for the last (almost) 3 years I’ve made a very similar cup of coffee. It has ALL the things in it. And my husband totally rolls his eyes at me, but I love it so much, I don’t want to change. I brew my coffee in a Chemex (I’ll brew 2 espresso capsules in my Nespresso if I’m in a hurry), put that in my Vitamix with a bit of almond milk or cashew milk, 1 tsp. coconut oil, a bit of Stevia or maple syrup and a scoop of Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides. It’s so thick, creamy and decadent, a regular cup of coffee just makes me sad now.
I’ve been calling it a “Power Latte” or “Power Coffee” on Instagram because I have no clue what else to call it. It’s not a butter bomb bulletproof coffee, but it does have the coconut oil AND the collagen…so Power it is.
Annnnnnddddd that’s it! What are your favorites so far??
