I know shopping days are truly numbered until Christmas, but I’m pretty sure you may need a few more ideas. My favorite gifts happen to be ones that don’t create clutter in our house, so here are my top favorite gift ideas! Oh and yes, some are for people with kiddos and some are for people without. This post could also be called “last minute gifts or super easy to order gifts.” Holiday Gift Guide for Clutter-Free Gifts!
MEMBERSHIPS:
We LOVE having places to go with our kids and furry friends. My mom loves renewing our zoo membership each year for Christmas, but some other great ideas if you don’t have a zoo nearby are: local museums, children’s museum, the botanic gardens, or gift cards for playtime at the local doggy daycare/kennel.
STREAMING:
This year we “cut the cord” and went to all streaming. Gifting someone a digital membership is awesome! We were gifted a check for a year of Disney+ which has already paid off since we haven’t had to rent any movies for our kids. Other favorites you can gift (ie just write a check for the full year amount and denote what it’s for in the memo): Hulu, Netflix, HBO, ShowTime.
CLASSES:
Classes can be SO expensive, but we need them to pass the time and grow our brains. I love receiving gift cards to local yoga studios or fitness studios (hello Fit4Mom Memphis!), but I also love gift cards that pay for kids art time, pottery classes, painting date nights, axe throwing, rock climbing, or digital fitness like Peloton or Alo Yoga.
Memphis area: The Art Project, Belltower Artisans, High Point climbing, Fit4Mom Memphis, Cooper Street Yoga, Transformama, Delta Groove
FOOD:
So, food is a temporary clutter. I love that. It disappears. My favorite ideas that involve food are: local chocolates or cookies (grab a cute gift box sampler), Butcher Box, vitamins or collagen restock (if you know what they use specifically), or even grocery store gift cards to Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods!
Oh, and don’t forget about bags of coffee or tea.
Memphis area: 17 Berkshire, Muddy’s, Shotwell Candy, My Cup of Tea, The Hub, City & State, Raw Girls, Juice Bar
Knoxville area: Honeybee coffee, Creative Art with Miss Shelley
HOME SERVICES:
Who doesn’t just want a house cleaner for Christmas? It’s why the Roomba is so popular. But you can gift someone a gift card to a cleaning service that uses green products (trust me, any busy person or new mama won’t take offense to this, they’ll cry with joy)! Also, babysitting money is another favorite so said busy mama can go on a date night or peace-out to go get her nails done during the day.
Self-Care:
Speaking of getting her nails done… gift cards for pampering are FAB. Mani/pedi at a really cool local place, gift card to her hair dresser, a local spa gift card for a massage or facial…gimme!
Memphis area: Nail Bar
GIFTCARDS:
Then of course, a gift card for anything he/she naturally loves is so easy and always appreciated. My favorites are: Sephora, Lululemon, Athleta, Madewell, Barnes & Noble, Starbucks or any local coffee shop!
I hope this gave you a few out of the box and clutter-free gift ideas! Happy Holidays!
