I’m SO excited to announce the Treats With A Twist Cookbook Club!! I’ve always wanted to start a cookbook club with my friends, but because I move around so much I could never make that happen. So, we are going to do this online! The more the merrier! Scroll down to see our December pick!
Here’s how it works: every month I pick a new cookbook (suggestions welcome!) for us to cook from. It’ll be a new release or something popular but already out there (hello library). I’ll announce it here and on Facebook and Instagram, and I’ll pin that post to the top of my FB page for awhile so you don’t miss it!
You’ll have plenty of time to read through the cookbook, find what looks great, and even try a few recipes on your own.
There will be a COOK IT date, and on that date we will ALL cook from the cookbook! So mark your calendars. I’ll start a thread for your finished results photos on Facebook that day and you can tag me on Instagram #TreatsCookbookClub so I can see them there! The goal is to make your entire meal from the cookbook (so if you choose to do dinner from it, make sure all of your sides are from the cookbook too).
If you have any dietary restrictions, just make substitutions to make your recipe work or ask me to help you tweak it! As long as it maintains the integrity of the original dish, then you’re good. Example: mine will always end up tweaked to be gluten-free. So if it’s a recipe with cous cous, I’ll use rice or quinoa.
ARE YOU READY?!?!
Month ONE! The December Cookbook Club pick is… Half Baked Harvest Super Simple by Tieghan Gerard.
COOK IT date: December 29!
You have plenty of time to add it to your holiday shopping lists (or Christmas wish list), read it over and then cook from it that weird weekend between Christmas and New Year when you have no idea how to feed your family anymore. Perfect timing.
Tag me! When you start experimenting with the recipes, tag me: @treats_with_a_twist and hashtag #TreatsCookbookClub so we can all see!
This post contains affiliate links to Amazon for the book.

This sounds like so much fun! I have a fairly extensive cookbook collection, so if I happen to have any that you end up picking, I’m definitely gonna join in! :]!
